new media artwork emphasizing Gertrude Stein’s famous quotation, “a rose is a rose is a rose”, which can be interpreted as meaning “things are what they are” — by extending a rose’s senses with a speaker, she can tell the person who touches her, that she’s neither a symbol, nor a medium for message delivery.


she’s a beautiful, peacocky flower and want’s her beauty to be seen just as the queen of flowers. female voice recordings were created, which rebuke the touching person.
