Based on the future scenario time zone 2.0 which is taking place in the year 2040, there will be an additional time zone with highly different environmental conditions as the ones we used to know in the common old time zone 1.0 (public as Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) ). The installation of several giant mirrors in the outer space implicates the reflection of the sun in a way that the selected cities receive 24/7 light. The idea was evolved by an association of different commercial metropolian cities of the world, the so-called SMZ Corporation. SMZ stands for Space Mirror Zone. To get through the adaptation phase and to facilitate the changes of the circadian rhythm, the group Forget The Sun/We Need No Light developed a tool that serves as orientation and support. It is a clock which helps the inhabitants of the Space Mirror Zone to stay connected to "the other world" outside of the SMZ. With this clock it is possible to simulate the brightness and accordingly the darkness of time zone 1.0. The clock runs on a 24hr cycle. The clockface distinguishes itself from a common clockface in its apperance. Instead of the numbers of hours 0 to 24 there are equivalents in form of numbers from 0 to 18, whereupon 0 is the brightest and 18 the darkest level. By opening the clock you are able to adjust the filter on the basis of the time of day and the check mark on the filter.
