– Game, 3D-Object, Error, Reality
A video game can be seen as a simulation or a copy of the physical world. That's because not only rules but also the appearance is directly related to reality: physic, light and also interactions are a copy of our daily routine. But even in the real world we can find elements of a videogame: basic rules, board games and the possibility to interact provide the same procedure like video games. Therefore both worlds depend on each other and are entangled: the rules and processes of the one world have an impact on the other. This raises the question: Is it possible to transfer errors, which lead the game to a crash, into the real world? My work represents in this context a first attempt to manipulate reality by using computerbugs. The experiment tries to trace back the genuineness of the virtual world into our everyday life. And in this manner, it is a first approach to question our regular debugging of the reality.
