Biofeedback ready to wear.
Ludwig Wittgenstein hinted at humanity’s strive for perfection when he wrote: „The limits of my language set the borders of my world.“ In spite of our limits, perhaps a day will come when we can all communicate non-verbally with each other. What if you could get there by wearing your mood like an accessory?
From ubiquitous surveillance and digitalization comes the possibility of tracking brainwaves and using the information to control devices (for example by the power of thoughts). In this case, to transferring thoughts onto an octagonal brooch. Constantly recoding brain activity, the brooch is immediately able to reflect your biofeedback. Just as chameleons talk among themselves through color coding, so too does the brooch enable us to communicate without the needing of words. The accessory is build up in two layers, which indicate the attention and meditation level.
This new kind of non-verbal communication could affect our social behavior and simultaneously rearrange our personal position in our environment. For instance, imagine someone reacquires the ability of express herself/himself after suffering vocal cord surgery. Imagine creating comfortable vibes in your social sphere, sharing your mood with your environment.
